British man who killed Nigerian boy escaped from mental facility
A convicted killer who was jailed for life for stabbing a teenage boy to death is being hunted by police after escaping from a mental health...
Lerone Boye absconded from John Howard Centre in Homerton, east London, at around 2pm on Wednesday.
Police are advising members of the public not to approach the 27-year-old but to call 999 if they see him.
Boye was sentenced to 28 years in jail last year for the murder of 17-year-old Kelvin Chibueze in Ilford on August 15 2011.
He is described as a black man, approximately 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build and short black hair. He has a horseshoe-shaped scar on his right cheek and a goatee beard.
A Metropolitan police spokesperson said he was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms and grey/blue sweatshirt with a grey vest over the top and is known to have links to the Ilford area.
